We supplied our SR60 curtain walling system which was constructed into a three-sided glass corridor for the building鈥檚 clubhouse rooftop areas.
The Skypark development, completed in the last few weeks, is situated in the city鈥檚 Mongkok district, one of the most densely-populated areas in Hong Kong.
Wrightstyle鈥檚 systems form part of the building鈥檚 28th floor clubhouse, called The Aurora, which features social spaces, a gym, bar and swimming pool and, on the floor above, a lawned garden.
The clubhouse is completely walled in glass, providing uninterrupted views over the rooftops of Kowloon.
Wrightstyle systems have recently been specified on several other residential, transport and medical projects in Hong Kong, including fa莽ade systems for the city鈥檚 Museum of Art, as part of the museum鈥檚 ongoing HK$ 960 million refurbishment.
The company also recently supplied a range of internal and external systems for a residential and sports centre development in the city鈥檚 Hang Hau district, to a major medical facility, and to the Kowloon Tong transport interchange.
Wrightstyle has international accreditations in Europe, the USA and in the Asia-Pacific region 鈥 and has undergone stringent fire testing for, for example, the Architectural Services Department (ASD) of the Hong Kong government.
In addition, Wrightstyle provided curtain walling for Hong Kong鈥檚 Langham Place development, which comprises a 53-storey office tower, a 5-star hotel with 665 bedrooms and rooftop swimming pool as well as a 600,000 sq ft shopping mall with 300 shops.
The company鈥檚 systems at Langham Place were installed across seven floors, to protect walkways between the main building and the shopping area, an important escape route in the event of fire.
For the Skypark project, all mullions and transoms were designed, fabricated and finished at Wrightstyle鈥檚 facilities in Wiltshire, with final assembly undertaken by the company鈥檚 trained local teams in Hong Kong.
The systems were also checked, tested and approved for wind and water by city technicians, and to ensure compliance with all local statutory requirements and architect鈥檚 designs.
鈥淭his contract underlines the highly specialist nature of the advanced glazing system market, and how Wrightstyle has developed an international reputation for the quality and reliability of its products and systems,鈥 said Billy Kung, our sales agent in Hong Kong.
